CF Search Marketing’s iPhone & iPad App, DealerConNEXTtion
Our team has developed custom apps for dealers… we could do the same for your dealership. More than 1 billion iPhone and iPod touch applications have been downloaded since Apple opened its App Store on July 11, 2008. It didn’t take long for car dealers to recognize the importance of this. While most of the Apps available for car dealers are focused on managing or displaying inventory, C&F’s philosophy is different and takes automotive iPhone Apps to the next level. It facilitates direct and real-time communication between the dealer and the consumer. C&F focuses on things that are important in fostering relationships with new & existing customers – Service. It allows customers to make service, lube, and oil change appointments, view service history, approve & get service and part quotes, receive coupons and specials. Not only that, but the App “learns” customer behavior and is “smart” enough to know when it’s time for an oil change, new tires, yearly inspection, and even tells the user when it’s best to trade in their vehicle. It also has Roadside Assistance features allowing motorists to communicate with dealership and/or other providers to provide assistance to them in case their vehicle breaks down.

Google has taken another step with local search once again by adding additional info on the right side of the search results. This is something they’ve been testing off and on earlier this year, and in November they began implementing it.
What has changed when users search for a local business? Now when you search for a place on Google you’ll see a large part of the screen on the right side taken up by what is essentially the entire Place page for that business. This includes the information such as the map, business hours, pictures, reviews, and more. Another interesting change is that the street view and store view windows are now readily available. These are both indicated by the little street view mascot “pegman” over the thumbnail picture shown. When you click on these images it will jump to the street view or store view page.
The information which shows up on the right side is limited by what’s available on that place’s Place Page, giving yet another reason to the importance of having a Places page that is updated and optimized with the most relevant info available. This Google change definitely makes finding information about places users are searching for in their area a lot easier and faster. But it also gives businesses another opportunity to market themselves in Google.
